Gać

In the Summer of 2022, I joined the Slavia Foundation during their continued archaeological excavations and research in Poland. This three-week program is dedicated to helping its students gain bioarchaeological and osteological experience and practice at two medieval sites.

I joined the foundation and their team for three weeks at the archaeological site of Gać, where I trained and studied adult and juvenile osteology, human burial excavations, medieval funerary practices in Poland, and archaeological material processing and curation. The Slavia Foundation will be presenting their research recovered at Gać at the Society for American Archaeology’s (SAA) 88th Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon.
